This is the good life, hanging out with my oldest son at ihop. The backdrop is from Tumblefishstudios, I used some su punches, made my flags with a punch, toothpick and bead, I misted the page and painted the heart and stars and wa'lla a cute little page.
I was inspired to do this page from the challenge at Scrapping the Musicthe challenge song is It's A Good Life by One Republic here's the video
I am also entering this in the following challenges:
At Scrap It Girl the challenge this month is to use punches, I used a label, butterfly and flag punch.
It's anything goes at 2 Sisters Challenge Frosted Designs has a fabulous Friday challenge to make your own embellies, and at Pile It On they are making their own embellies too, mine would be my flags with the toothpick, label punch and bead
This is my hiccup, this is traditional and digital scrapping along with stamping, the
digital elements I found at Deviant Scrap and Digital Crea. I was
inspired by this song by Mindy Gledhill
it's
the challenge song at Scrapping the Music, it's so catchy , as soon as I
heard it I knew I wanted to get a picture of my grandaughter holding the world
for the lyric "I wannna hold the whole wide world right here in my open
hands", and she is a little girl and I hope some day she has great big
plans and I hope she takes lots of chances. The world started out as a
baseball, thats where the editing comes in, I am still trying to figure
out how to use Gimp, not to bad this time.
I used the sketch from Sketchabilities
I love how the colors pop on Carries page, go check it out.
I am also entering this at The Artistic Stampers monthly challenge, the theme is Red, White and Blue. I love ZuZus tag over there, it's so cute
Over at Scrap It Girl the challenge is to use punches, my stars and the medallion circle on my page were punched, the monkey cans over there that mothershipscrapbookgal did would be perfect for a nursery, I love the monkey.
At Top Tip Tuesday they want to see sparkles, my stars are glittered and the blue and white stars are like crystal and I added digital sparkles to the photo. The tutorial over there is pretty cool, I love it when I find new techniques to try.
It's Hats or Handbags over at My Time To Craft, I chose to use a hat, I think it's kinda cute and so is the inspiration over there.
My favorite kind of challenge is happening at Tuesday Taggers Try It On Tuesday, it's anything goes check out Zandras album it's the cutest.
Things with wings is what is happening at Southern Girls Challenge , everythings a flutter, I figure that my little hiccup has wings in this picture she is fluttering too.
It's all relative at Order of the Opus Gluei and this little hiccup is someone I really love. I am very impressed that Electra has finished scrapping all of her moms photos, I hope I get there someday too.
There are some fantastic creations at Moving Along With The Times, they want to see anything but a card and since this is a scrapbook page I hope it qualifies.
Thanks for looking and if you stayed with me this long, you may wonder why this little girl is my hiccup, well it's pretty simple, she is always hiccuping
I only used one stamp on this from Stampotique, everything else is embossing folder , dies, acrylic paint and stencils. I am entering this in the following challenges
Has anyone seen a frog riding a bicycle? I have, I have and he is just adorable over at Stampotique Designers I hope my colors are bright enough for the challenge
Have you seen Julies card over at Penny's Paper Crafty it is just to cute there are some great prizes over there the challenge is anything goes
A card with no flowers who heard of such a thing, well they pulled it off at Charisma Cardz lots of inspiration over there
For the May challenge over at The Artistic Stamper ,which by the way if I had any of those stamps I would so use them, there is a fabulous selection here I am still trying to win some, you know that bad word budget, well I'm on one, no spending for awhile, arrrgghh. Anyway, they want to see spots and stripes, I got that.
It looks like the shadow on the card was created from the flash on the camera , not so, I actually took a dark blue marker and added it to just the left side of the die cut to try and give it depth and the boy stamp I stamped twice and on the second one I colored dark brown and then offset it and glued it to the front one so it would appear to be a shadow.
I really like the stamps at Rogue Redhead Designs just the company name alone is cool and it's really cool how you can use any stamps to enter their challenges, of course we all love to see RRD stamps. I love to enter challenges and sometimes the rules are confusing or their are too many hoops to jump through I just don't bother, NOT so at RRD. I like and appreciate that it's plain and simple and right to the point. Thanks RRD
I am entering this at Rogue Redhead Designs (warm tones and gents)
You can get your three favorite things at Chocolate Coffee and Cards (for the boys ) who doesn't love those three things, I couldn't make it without my coffee
