Seriously

My brother, always trying to get people to laugh, kidding around at a family picnic, hope this doesn't offend anyone, not my intention, nor my brothers. him just being goofy :)

This was so much fun and easy to , I just hand cut all the flags. I punched the starry things along with the jagged edged circle so I am entering this at Southern girls.  For the challenge at All Sorts you are supposed to think outside the box and use something that was not intended for crafting in the first place.  I used the backing to some button gemstones that was made for garments , the three black circles on the page are the plastic backings.  If you want a summer challenge there's lots of choices  at 2 Sisters .  Brown Sugar  ,  Creatalicious ,  Creative Corner and Deep Ocean   they are looking for Summer Fun, now I think my page qualifies we were at a picnic in the summer and having fun.    Now at My Time To Craft they want to see spots and stripes, I did use some spotty and striped paper to make some of my flags.  For some more stripes you can head over to Simon Says that's their challenge theme this week, I used several different papers with stripes on them.  I used mist and a stencil for the background, I also sprayed the background with goosebumps then stamped the splotchy dots   in the corners for a messy look so I am entering at Anything But A Card .  I chose to use three items from the list of ten at Desert Islands Crafts challenge, I used punches, patterned paper and spray mist.  This week Rick St Dennis is sponsoring Through the Craft room Door with an anything goes theme.     and last but not least in any way,  I followed an awesome sketch from Scrapfriends

Moments

honoring my dad

The cool thing about this page is the large photo I used for the background.  It's actually printed on an 8x10 sheet of photo paper.  I edited it in MDS so from the blue dots to the black and tan stripes is all one photo.  I had been wanting to try this for awhile now, what I had seen done before was all digital and very cool but I wanted to try traditional, I'm glad I did.  I also  love the punch of blue color and my metal embellishments I have had since I got back into scrapbooking that I have been waiting to use on that one perfect project.
This one I am happy with, see it's a challenge for me when I do masculine pages, flowers and ribbon are so much easier for me.  This one I am pleased with.

This month is die cuts at Scrap It Girl , I used a lot of Tim Holtz, I think in total 13 different die cuts.  Go check out Kim's Blog Scrap It Girl there are fun challenges and prizes to be won and check out the gallery for some inspiration.
