Be Yourself

Whether you wear pink hats and tutu's or have tattoos and piercings.
Be Yourself.

Here is my project for March's challenge at Scrap It Girl.  This month is a recipe challenge, The challenge is simple.. 1 stamped image, 2 punches, 3 patterned papers.

I used one  Tim Holtz stamp that I stamped on my cardstock then stamped several times on other cardstock in different colors and cut out the hat, wings and words and adhered them to the stamped image on the cardstock.  I drew a box for my stamped image to sit upon. I used two punches both scalloped circles different sizes though, to make the flower.  I used three different scraps of paper to hand cut the flags/banner, which is the same paper I used to make the flower.  I inked the edges of the the cardstock and added some brads at the bottom to balance things out.  I really wanted to stick to only using the recipe but the brads really balanced things out.

You can enter this challenge at Scrap It Girl , you have all month to enter, that gives you plenty of time to make something fabulous!  You can enter up to two times and make anything you want.  You can check out all the rules here to make sure you qualify, it's really easy.
While your over there check out the gallery, tons of inspiration, I love the boxes.

This month is being hosted by April and this is what she is offering to the lucky winner.

It includes a 6x6 My Mind’s Eye paper pad, a Fiskars stamp set, an Inkadinkadoo stamp set, American Crafts This To That foam squares, American Crafts ribbon, a Craft Smart ink pad, a baggie of Studio Calico chipboard butterflies, K&Company paper ribbon and some Recollections flowers. Perfect for Spring! :)

You can check out her blog here

I also thought I'd enter these challenges as well: Craft Us Crazy is having an anything goes challenge with a great Saturated Canary prize.  Krista's images are so adorable.  Over at Moving along With The Times they are getting ready for Mother's Day so the theme is make a card/creation with or for a female.  It's anything goes over at Simon Says Stamp, my favorite kind of challenge.  At the very inspiring Fashionable Stamping blog the challenge is to use red, brown and black.  I am very pleased I was able to accomplish this I would have never picked this color combo, the design team over there had no trouble at all , gorgeous creations.  Put on your wings and fly on over to City Crafter and join in on the wings challenge.

That's all for now, thanks for coming by!
