Macabre Monday HDH068 - Octopodally Ominous

This is what I created for the challenge at Haunted Design House.  This was not my first image I colored the first one is on the right,  but after I was all done I noticed a flubb that I didn't like and tried to fix it and ended up smearing the blank ink on her face by her jaw, well I should have left it and used that image for my card it didn't scan to bad, I also thought the browns and reds in the first one all blended together in a blah sort of way and would have just looked like a big pile of pooh when uploaded, so I changed the dress color and I am only putting the first flubbed one on here so you can see my  first attempt, because when I went to upload and blog about this after I had finishe the card, did I notice Lynx's card and mine are similar  This is not intentional, in fact when entering challenges I try not    to look at the DT's cards because I want to use my own fresh ideas.  Let me say again this was not intentional.  Hopefully this is just proof great minds think alike!!   I would have redone the whole thing over again except I am out of time, I just finished the card and blogging, now I have to go to store for dinner. 1. What is your holiday wish for your family?
Peace and happiness to each and everyone.
2. What is your Christmas morning / Hanukkah Nightly tradition?
I turn on the video camera that I have carefully placed the night before to capture the little ones on video in front of the tree while opening presents (hopefully no disappointed faces).  I then grab the camera to make sure I capture moments in time that I can scrap. Oh and coffee, coffee, coffee. Then on to the presents, no getting dressed, jammies all the way, we can brush our teeth and hair later, its straight to the main event, presents!!
3. If you could ask Santa for one, completely decadent wish for yourself, what would it be?
More time, lots of time, to spend with my family, and crafting.  Nothing I could get from a store would ever compare to that.
4. How do you make the holidays special without spending any money?
The kids and I put up the tree together and put on a christmas movie or music, its special time.
5. What games did you play with your family growing up?
Board games and it was great, monoply, sorry, aggravation.
6. What holiday tradition have you carried on from your own childhood?
We open one gift on Christmas eve.
7. Where would you go for a Christmas/Hanukkah-away-from-home trip?
Somewhere where it snows, the kids have never seen snow and I grew up in the north and loved it as a kid, I would like them to experience that while they are still kids.  Mmmmm  maybe Alaska or Switzerland!!
